About Me.

​I am a Political Science PhD candidate at Ohio State University specializing in Comparative Politics and International Relations. My primary research interests are the emergence of participatory institutions, state formation, state systems, autocracy, and pre-modern political dynamics. 

My research is published in the American Political Science Review, Comparative Political Studies, International Studies Quarterly, and the Journal of Historical Political Economy. I am grateful for the support of the American Political Science Association and Mershon Center, among others.
